Check the route for cables, network and power needs, working access and making good. Tell the installer which existing equipment will stay and establish whether its supporting infrastructure is suitable. Include setup, tests and instructions in the quote.

It should list camera positions and intended views, equipment, wiring, power, recording, setup, testing and handover, plus exclusions and ongoing charges.
Does a higher camera count mean better coverage?
No. A useful image depends on the lens, position, light and purpose. Another camera covering the same view may help less than moving an existing one to the right place.
