Reused uPVC Door Installation in Consett
Black & White Property Services replaced two existing doors at a managed property in Consett using second-hand uPVC door sets. Arranged through a lettings company, the work included frames, glass and side panels.
The challenge
The replacement sets needed fitting into the existing openings, with secure frames, external sealing and adjustments for smooth operation.
Delays obtaining panelling also required an alternative to keep the installation moving.
Work completed
The team removed and disposed of the existing doors, then supplied and fitted two second-hand uPVC door sets with their frames and glazing.
The sets were secured into the openings, foam filled and sealed externally. Each door was adjusted for operation and sealing.
Glass panels were used when access to the intended panelling was delayed.
Result
Both second-hand door sets were installed, sealed and adjusted within the existing openings.
The glass-panel substitution allowed the work to proceed without waiting for the delayed panelling.
