Parapet Flashing Repairs in Whitley Bay
Black & White Property Services carried out targeted roof repairs at a managed residential building in Whitley Bay in July 2024. The work focused on re-felting flashings up a parapet wall where previous repairs had been carried out.

The challenge
The roof covering turns up against the parapet wall at the flashing detail. The agreed scope identified this previously repaired area for renewed felt flashings and included tower access for the work.
For the property manager, the requirement was a defined repair to this roof junction, with the access arrangements included in the same scope.
Work completed
The team re-felted the flashings up the parapet throughout the identified repair area. This renewed the felt detail at the junction between the roof covering and the wall.
The works were completed against the agreed targeted-repair scope, which included tower access.
Result
The identified parapet flashings were re-felted, completing the specified roof-junction repair. The project provides a focused example of building-fabric maintenance at a managed residential property.
