Accessibility Policy

Websites and public digital content are designed toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Priorities include:

1. keyboard access;
2. visible focus and logical navigation;
3. meaningful headings and link text;
4. sufficient colour contrast;
5. text alternatives for informative images;
6. captions or alternatives for relevant media;
7. clear labels, instructions and error messages;
8. responsive layouts and text enlargement; and
9. documents structured for assistive technology.

Public information should be available in accessible HTML wherever practicable. Downloadable documents are prepared with headings, reading order, descriptive links and accessible tables. The relevant Participating Business considers reasonable requests for an alternative format.

Accessibility is reviewed during design, content changes and periodic testing. Identified barriers are prioritised according to user impact, legal duty, technical feasibility and available resources.

Accessibility feedback or alternative-format requests must be directed to the relevant Participating Business using the contact details on its website. Black & White Group has no separate contact channel.

Public websites and downloadable material are designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably applicable. Core journeys should support keyboard operation, visible focus, logical headings and landmarks, meaningful link text, sufficient colour contrast, text resizing, responsive reflow, reduced motion preferences, labels and instructions, error identification and screen-reader-compatible names. Images conveying information require suitable alternatives; decorative images are ignored by assistive technology.

PDFs and other documents use a logical reading order, tagged headings, searchable text, descriptive links, accessible tables and document properties where the production tool supports them. Essential information is made available in an accessible HTML or alternative format on request if a document cannot be made fully accessible immediately.

Accessibility is considered during design, procurement, content creation and change, not only at final testing. Automated checks are combined with keyboard and manual review of important journeys. Known limitations are recorded, prioritised according to impact and corrected within a reasonable programme. Third-party components are assessed before adoption and alternatives considered where they create material barriers.
