Roof Leak and Rainwater Repairs in Blyth
Black & White Property Services repaired rainwater drainage connections and lead flashing at a property in Blyth. The work followed an inspection that traced water ingress to the drainage connections and flashing installation.

The challenge
The leaking area had a restricted working position, requiring scaffold-tower access. The downpipe needed securing and alignment, while the flashing at the roof abutment needed refixing.
Debris in the guttering also needed clearing as part of the repair.
Work completed
Using tower access, the team connected and secured the downpipe at outlet level and adjusted the associated pipework connections.
The lead flashing was removed and refixed to allow for thermal movement. The team inspected the adjoining roof abutment and cleared debris from the guttering.
A final water test checked the completed repairs.
Result
The completed work passed the water test, with the leak resolved under the test conditions. Monitoring during future heavy rainfall was recommended.
The repairs addressed the identified drainage and flashing defects at the leaking area.
